System Health Monitoring

Presidio Technology continuously monitors the status of every security camera installation we manage. If there is problem we fix it and notify you as needed. Stand alone video surveillance systems cannot notify you if they are not themselves working properly.

All computers systems that are on the Internet are vulnerable to attack from hackers. Since nearly all modern video surveillance systems are accessible from the Internet there is a significant risk that a newly deployed system will be hacked. The only solution is to patch, upgrade, and continuously secure the systems as new “exploits” are discovered. It does not matter if the computer system controlling the security cameras is based on Windows, Linux, or a proprietary embedded system. If the system is not patched and updated regularly it will become vulnerable. At Presidio Technology all of our managed security camera systems are patched and upgraded regularly.

Since Presidio Technology is responsible for maintaining the system for the long term, only quality equipment that meets our own high standards is used at every installation.  Only security cameras with a high resolution, high light sensitivity, and an excellent S/N ratio are used.
